Soludo Bans Street Preachers in Anambra

Governor Soludo bans street Preachers in Anambra State: In a bold statement that has set tongues wagging, the governor has issued a no-nonsense warning to gospel preachers disrupting public spaces. Addressing the issue of loud preaching in markets and other public areas, the governor firmly declared, “If you want to preach the word of God, go to your church, not the market. You’re causing noise pollution!”

Governor Soludo’s stern remarks came after several street preachers were found loud and persistent in their efforts to spread the word, often disturbing the peace and business activities in the l markets. He added, “A marketplace is not a church. You cannot come here and start disturbing everyone. Those who want to listen can come to your church.”

While the governor acknowledged the right to freedom of worship, he made it clear that it should not come at the cost of peace and order. “You cannot just pick a spot in a busy market and start preaching. It’s illegal. It’s noise pollution!” he emphasized.

The governor didn’t stop there—he took it up a notch, jokingly stating, “If it were up to me, I could have asked them to arrest you for contravening the law. If you insist on preaching in the market, we’ll charge you. Maybe 500k a day for the privilege.
